In celebration of Filipino American History Month, the San Francisco Public Library presents the 2015 bi-annual Filipino American International Book Festival. 2015 Los Angeles Korean Festival


Celebrating its 42nd year, the 2015 Los Angeles Korean Festival (LAKFF) is the largest celebration of Korean culture in the United States. 2015 RiSE Lantern Festival


Celebrating its 2nd year, the 2015 RiSE Lantern Festival presents a visual spectacle of illuminated lanterns perfect for all ages. McDonald’s McSavers Spinach Pie


American hamburger fast food giant, McDonald’s has recently launched a limited edition menu item for the Malaysian market. Under the McSavers menu line, the Spinach Pie is a savory take on the popular sweet fried pies. Consisting of a deep-fried shelled pie with spinach, diced carrots and a cream sauce filling, the Spinach Pie is available for 2.95 Ringgit ($0.79 USD). Link


Puma + Limited Edt


In celebration of Singapore’s 50th anniversary of independence, German sportswear manufacturer Puma has teamed up with the country’s premier sneaker boutique Limited Edt for a limited edition sneaker. Consisting of Puma’s Blaze of Glory silhouette, the sneaker draws inspiration from the country’s flag, heritage, and nickname as “The Lion City.” Featuring Singapore’s iconic Merlion fish scale texture along the uppper, silver pony hair along the toecap and a speckled pattern rubber along the outsole, the collaboration sneaker is available through select global retailers starting August 21,


Café Dior Opens in Seoul


French fashion luxury brand, Dior recently opened its first Café Dior in Seoul. Located in the heart of Cheongdam-dong in Seoul’s shopping district of Gangnam-gu, the café completes Dior’s world’s largest boutique flagship. Located on the top floor of Dior’s six-story retail space, Café Dior hosts an exclusive menu by “pastry chef extraordinaire”, Pierre Hermé. In addition to the Café, the boutique is stocked with Dior’s high-end luxury goods including the women’s ready-to-wear collections, Dior Homme, leather goods, fine jewelry, watches and perfumes in addition to featuring a museum-like art gallery


2015 Cambodia Town Film Festival


Celebrating its 3rd year, the 2015 Cambodia Town Film Festival (CTFF) showcases the very best in Cambodian cinema. Running September 3-6, 2015, the Cambodia Town Film Festival highlights the diversity of the Cambodian experience through the art of filmmaking by Khmer/American filmmakers. 2015 Taste of Manila


Celebrating its 2nd year, the 2015 Taste of Manila is the first ever Filipino street food festival in Toronto. Organized by the Philippine Cultural Community Centre (PCCC) in association with the Philippine Consulate Office of Toronto, Taste of Manila showcases the best of Filipino culture and cuisine. Running August 22-23, 2015, the two-day festival is expected to attract over 60,000 attendees and will host a broad array of Filipino culture including over 150 food and trade booths, live music, folk dancing in addition to the world’s longest boodle fight.

Uniqlo, Japan’s leading clothing retail chain has launched its latest UT collection in collaboration with Disney. Under the name “Magic for All”, the limited edition series features iconic Disney characters such as Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Bambi, Snow White, Alice in Wonderland, Donald and Daffy Duck, Olaf and many more. 2015 San Francisco International Dragon Boat Festival


Celebrating its 20th year, the 2015 San Francisco International Dragon Boat Festival is the largest competitive dragon boat festival in the United States. Hosted by Kaiser Permanente, the Festival runs September 19-20, 2015 and features over 120 dragon boat teams and nearly 3,000 dragon boat paddlers ranging from novice to the competitive skill level. In addition to world-class dragon boat racing, the festival features live dance and music performances, cultural activities, diverse Asian cuisine and arts & crafts.
