Celebrating its 4th year, the Boston Asian American Film Festival (BAAFF) continues to empower Asian Americans through film by showcasing Asian American experiences and serving as a resource to filmmakers and the Greater Boston community. Running October 25-28, 2012, the BAAFF will host a diverse collection of independent films and videos at 3 venues in Boston and Cambridge. BAAFF features such big name and emerging films as Shanghai Calling, Mr. Cao Goes to Washington, Model Minority, White Frog, Sunset Stories, Wedding Palace and many more.
“This year’s selection includes an energetic, thought-provoking range of contemporary films which speak to the breadth and depth of Asian American cinema as it stands today, and we are proud to continue to present these works to the Boston area,” says Festival Director Susan Chinsen.“From romantic comedies to thoughtful documentaries, to serious dramas and innovative short films, the festival celebrates the power of cinema to inspire, provoke and educate our diverse audiences.” Link
