Singapore-based internet television startup, Viki has recently announced its partnership with Microsoft to continue its expansion in the Southeast Asian region. Through the agreement, Viki’s wide range of content will be featured on Microsoft’s popular websites across Southeast Asia – plasaMSN (Indonesia), MSN Thailand, MSN Malaysia, MSN Philippines and xinmsn (Singapore).
Visited by over 17.6 million internet users per month, the co-branded partnership will feature Viki’s extensive collection of Korean Dramas such as Dr. Jin and Golden Time, Indonesian movies such as Purple Love and Red CobeX, K-Pop music videos from Super Junior and Brown Eyed Girls and entertainment news from Cek & Ricek and Korea’s Y-Star News. All content on the website is available with subtitles from a large host of languages, powered by Viki’s community.
“MSN is a leading destination in South-east Asia, so we’re thrilled to be partnering with such a great brand to give consumers — in many cases, for the first time — easy access to the content they love by removing language barriers and making the content more accessible than ever before” says Viki co-founder and CEO, Razmig Hovaghimian.
