Celebrating its 9th year, the 2012 Seattle “Celebrating Life” Dragon Boat Festival is a rich celebration of Seattle’s Pan Asian American heritage. Held annually at Seattle, Washington’s Lake Union, the dragon boat festival is free to the public and benefits the Team Survivor Northwest, a local nonprofit that supports women in their cancer recovery. Featuring 36 dragon boat teams from around the region (Seattle, Tacoma, Portland and Vancouver, BC.) competing, the festival also features an assortment of entertainment including arts and crafts, games and food vendors. Over 5,000 attendees are expected for the event running Saturday July 28, 2012. Link
