Yoobi Sushi

06/22/2012 by Chris in London, What's New with 0 Comments

London’s first temakeria, Yoobi Sushi recently opened its restaurant on Lexington Street in Soho. Offering a new style of Latin American cuisine, Yoobi Sushi takes inspiration from Brazil and pushes an exciting new direction on the sushi experience. Serving freshly-made temaki – a rolled cone of seaweed around a mixture of rice and fish, Yoobi Sushi was developed by Nicholas Steiner and Carolina Rodrigues, a couple with ties to Japan and Brazil who found themselves inspired by Brazil’s temakerias on a trip to the country. “We thought that London was the perfect place for the concept,” says Steiner. “It’s a fun concept and we’re trying to break some of the rules as they have done in Brazil – making it fun and casual but at the same time we take our food very seriously and are targeting people looking for a quick, but fresh and tasty lunch, dinner or a snack.” Link, Link
