Celebrating its 28th year, the 2012 Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival (LAAPFF), presented by the nation’s premier Asian Pacific American media arts center, Visual Communications is the largest annual festival of its kind in Southern California promoting the best of Asian Pacific and Asian international cinema in the United States. Running May 10 – 20, 2012, the LAAPFF is a compilation of 189 films from both Asian Pacific American and Asian international directors from 20 countries starring such films as Shanghai Calling, Viette, The Spirit of Nihonmachi, Mother’s Milk, Obake, Love, NY, Surrogate Valentine, Seeking Asian Female, China Heavyweight, Mr Cao Goes to Washington, Papa Mau: The Wayfinder, Golden Slumbers, Planet of Snail and many more.
