Written and directed by Kerwin Berk, Infinity & Chashu Ramen is a narrative film project about the life of Asian-Americans in San Francisco’s Japantown. Following a series of seven interwoven vignettes, the stories blend Japanese folklore with Japanese-American culture, all set against the backdrop of one of San Francisco’s most vibrant but hidden neighborhoods.
“Our film has 34 speaking parts in six different languages and dialects, with a cast that is virtually all Asian American. We believe it is important for Asian Americans to tell our own stories in our own way, using our own talent in front and behind the camera” says Kerwin Berk.
The Infinity & Chashu Ramen film project is currently in its post-production phase and is set to premiere in Japantown spring of 2012. Link, Link
