Recently launched, The Khmerican provides a comprehensive web-based news site focusing on the Cambodian-American life. Following three decades of Cambodians immigrating into the United States, The Khmerican looks to become a strong resource and a voice for the community by providing exclusively produced stories and content.

With over 75+ interviews conducted resulting in 25 published articles, 10 photo essays and 4 podcasts, The Khmerican has looked to IndieGoGo, an online crowd funding site to help raise funds for an official registration as a media company in the state of California. The postal address will be located in Long Beach, California, home to America’s first and only “Cambodia Town.” The Khmerican is looking to raise $10,000 by April 30, 2012. All proceeds from the campaign will go towards incorporation fees and hiring more contributors and creating more content. Link

  • I’m impressed, I must say. Really hardly ever do I encounter a weblog that’s each educative and entertaining, and let me tell you, you may have hit the nail on the head. Your idea is outstanding; the problem is something that not enough persons are talking intelligently about. I am very completely satisfied that I stumbled throughout this in my seek for something relating to this.

  • It’s laborious to seek out educated individuals on this topic, but you sound like you realize what you’re talking about! Thanks

  • The subsequent time I learn a weblog, I hope that it doesnt disappoint me as much as this one. I mean, I do know it was my option to read, however I actually thought youd have one thing interesting to say. All I hear is a bunch of whining about one thing that you can fix when you werent too busy in search of attention.
