World-renowned Japanese contemporary artist, Yayoi Kusama will soon be on display at the Tate Modern in London, UK. Best Known for her obsession with repetitive dot patterns, 82 year-old Kusama’s work spans over six decades and is considered one of Japan’s best-known living artists. Running February 9 through June 5, 2012, the exhibition will highlight Kusama’s extensive body of work ranging from early painting explorations from the 1940s, vast fields of polka dots or “Infinity Net” series in the 1950s to film installations, performances, fashion design, publishing and counter-cultural events in the 1960s and Kusama’s latest work from the past decade.
