Burmese pro-democracy activist, Aung San Suu Kyi, finds herself returning to Burma after leading a happy life in England following news about her mother’s poor health. Once in Burma, she finds her father’s fight for independence after being assassinated is not forgotten and the country sees great hopes in her as well. Aung San Suu Kyi founds a party and fights for the core of Burma’s democracy movement. However, she finds herself getting arrested and spending more than a decade under house arrest.
