Celebrating its 113th year, the 2012 Los Angeles Chinese New Year Festival kicks off the Year of the Dragon in a big way with the nation’s largest Lunar New Year Festival. Taking place January 28 & 29th, 2012 in Los Angeles’ Chinatown, the festival features the Golden Dragon Parade featuring cultural performances by some of the nation’s best Chinese acts, hundreds of spectacular floats in addition to performances by local LA bands and musical groups.
“Since the mid-1980’s, the Golden Dragon Parade has expanded to include almost two dozen floats, multiple marching bands, government officials, various dignitaries, entertainers, local business leaders and cultural groups. The parade’s theme emphasizes ethnic diversity, Chinese Culture and exposure to Chinese-American businesses.
