More than a thousand years before known contact between East and West, hundreds of mummies, many with blue eyes and blond hair, were buried in a remote Chinese desert. Unearthed Caucasian mummies that are thousands of years old could substantially rewrite history of contact between East and West and challenge the assumption that China developed largely in isolation.
