27 Oct Zauo Coming to New York City
Tokyo-based restaurant chain, Zauo is set to open its first United States location in New York City. Located in New York City’s neighborhood of Chelsea, the three-story restaurant takes fresh seafood to the next level by offering guests the opportunity to catch their own dinner.
First and second floor customers will be able to sit in a boat and reel in fish from an adjacent tank stocked with around ten different types of fish including horse mackerel, sea breams, soles and Japanese lobsters. The third floor of the restaurant will serve sushi and higher-end dishes where no fishing is required.
Dinners start by grabbing poles and purchasing bait before catching a desired fish. Once a fish has been caught, it is turned over to the staff to be grilled, tempura-fried or served as sushi.
There is currently no official opening date announced, however Zauo is expected to open in early 2018. Link
