04 Oct 2017 Vancouver Asian Film Festival
Celebrating its 21st year, the 2017 Vancouver Asian Film Festival (VAFF) is the nation’s oldest Asian film festival. Serving a diverse selection of North American-Asian and international films, VAFF provides a cultural bridge between the Asian and non-Asian communities as well as the Asian communities themselves.
Running November 2-5, 2017, this year’s festival under the theme of “Visual Landscape”, VAFF invites attendees to explore and celebrate the Asian Canadian cinematic landscape. Presenting a showcase of 13 feature-length and short films from around the world, this year’s Vancouver Asian Film Festival includes such big name and emerging films as the Western Canada premiere of Columbus, the world premiere of the controversial Vancouver Chinatown documentary Paint it Red, in addition to The Lonely Light Home, Gook, A Time to Swim, Wexford Plaza and many more.
