30 Sep Häagen-Dazs Specialite Matcha Opera
United States-based premium ice cream producer, Häagen-Dazs has recently announced a new ice cream flavor for the Japanese market. Inspired by the multi-layered French opera cake, the new flavor called Specialite Matcha Opera consists of matcha and chocolate.
Unlike the Opera cakes which generally consist of almond sponge cake soaked in coffee syrup and topped with ganache and coffee buttercream and covered in chocolate glaze, the Häagen-Dazs Specialite Matcha Opera features alternating layers of matcha green tea ice cream, almond cookie wafer, blond chocolate and topped with a chocolate glaze of black, white and milk chocolates. Available starting November 21, 2017, the Specialite Matcha Opera comes in a 110 ml (3.70oz) cup at a price of ¥449 ($3.99 USD). Link
