Electree by Vivien Muller is a functional modern sculpture in the shape of a Japanese bonsai. The 42 leaves are small photovoltaic panels which allows the recharge of mobile devices without the use of any external energy source other than light. Energy produced during daylight is stored in a hidden battery underneath the bonsai. Once charged, the battery is connected to a USB port to connect to any mobile device. Electree is released in a limited edition of 20 units. Link
