Zynga, Web 2.0-based social networking game developer located in San Francisco has recently reported it has acquired Tokyo-based startup Unoh for roughly $11.6 million following the joint venture announcement of Zynga and Softbank’s $150 million investment. Unoh is Zynga’s second acquisition in Asia, following Zynga’s purchase of Beijing-based XPD Media in May 2010. Zynga plans on transforming the Tokyo office into Zynga’s strategic base for the Asian games market. Unoh develops games for both cell phones and PCs. It’s current hit title is Machitsuku (Build a City) with over three million users in Japan. Link
